Pinhole Leaks in Copper Plumbing Damaging Your Properties?
Example of a patch that is not a permanent fix.

Testimonial

Thank you for a very fine product – your Leak Guardian System.

The system was originally installed at our Park at Vineridge property of 496 apartment units over nine years ago. It has performed very well with only the normal recommended maintenance. The system has reduced the pinhole leaks in the copper pipe to a bare minimum, reducing our repair and maintenance costs and protecting our tenants from water related damage.

When we need supplies or maintenance for the Leak Guardian, Flo-Tec's customer service personnel and technicians respond immediately and professionally to our needs.

Thank you again for a great product.

Did You Know That -

If you have copper plumbing in your apartments, condos, office buildings or hotel/motels it can begin leaking at any time, particularly if it is over 15 years old.

Iron, steel, galvanized, and copper water lines will always corrode. These dissimilar metals in the same plumbing system generate electrical potential and an electrical current between the various types of metals. The most common configuration of metal piping is black iron main, followed by galvanized laterals to the buildings and copper lines as final distribution lines. Since the wall thickness of the copper lines is the thinnest, it is in these lines that the first evidence of inevitable corrosion is generally noticed. Once a system starts to experience leaks, statistics show that they not only continue, but continue at a sharply increasing rate along with the associated repair costs.

FLO-TEC™ is a pioneer and leader in the field of copper pipe protection and leak prevention and has been providing successful systems and chemistries to satisfied clients for over 30 years. From its headquarters in Largo, Florida, FLO-TEC’s management, engineers, field representatives and customer service personnel are committed to supplying modern, reliable, affordable solutions to pinhole leak problems. Our experts tailor systems to specific properties and water conditions to ensure effectiveness, convenience and total safety for residents and employees. FLO-TEC™ provides custom solutions for your particular property and problem, rather than a “one-size-fits all” system that may not work. Give FLO-TEC™ a call to get an analysis of your property and rest easier with LEAK GUARDIAN™!

Aqua-Solv™ LEAK GUARDIAN is a product and system for leak control and prevention in copper pipe manufactured and supplied by FLO-TEC™ . This NSF/ANSI 60 approved Corrosion Control System is the most economical way of treating the expensive problem of galvanic corrosion. Rather than ripping down walls and repairing and/or replacing plumbing, the Leak Guardian system produces a thin cathodic-inhibiting film barrier that virtually eliminates further corroding of plumbing systems.

The FLO-TEC Corrosion Control System is comprised of a high quality pumping system and a small storage tank for the Aqua-Solv™ LEAK GUARDIAN corrosion-inhibiting compound. This robust and extremely reliable system is effective, simple to use, and covered by a FLO-TEC™ one-year warranty.

Hidden & Expensive Danger

Consumers are often unaware of the true cost of untreated water. Because water can react chemically with plumbing systems, particularly copper and metal pipe, the result can be damage that extends far beyond plumbing.

Untreated water can cause expensive leaks, and sometimes the complete deterioration of the piping system (not to mention much of the surrounding structure). It can result in interruption of service and overwhelming repair costs. It can also produce significant scale build-up in water heaters as well as in piping and other plumbing components. This results in flow restriction and loss of water pressure.

Additionally, the corroding copper in aging plumbing systems raises the dissolved copper level in potable water, and may increase it to levels that are unhealthy and above what health experts consider to be appropriate and safe.  The cathodic-inhibiting film barrier that LEAK GUARDIAN™ provides helps to protect against excessive dissolved copper levels.
